You don't say how you normally view messages in webmail, so it's a little difficult to understand what your problem is. Do you know how to take a screenshot? If not, google it. If you're on s smartphone or Mac, remember to mention that when you google the question. Then send a screenshot of what you see to me and I'll have a look - bob.ridge-stearn@newman.ac.uk . Do not send the screenshot to this forum as you don't want your inbox to be pubic.
My guess is that –
1. those message from people on another course should be there because you are enrolled on this other course and subscribed to a forum on that Moodle course. Perhaps you shouldn’t be, but that's another matter.
2. you have inadvertently clicked a column heading in webmail to order the messages by subject rather than date. If you click the column heading ‘received’ that might put it back to how you had it (though I don’t know how you had it).
If you want to unsubscribe from a forum, go to the forum in question and look to edit the settings and unsubscribe. I can;t remember where the setting is but it should be obvious.

To follow up from Bobs post, if you have Windows Vista or above you could use the Snipping Tool for screen capture. To open it click START > RUN and type snipping, then open it from the search results.
Alternatively, click START and type 'problem steps' then open 'Record steps to reproduce a problem' from the search results. Click RECORD then run through the steps that gives you the problem. Stop recording, save the file and send that to Bob.

I guess you've resolved this by now but if this only happens at home I'd suspect a browser issue. Is your browser up to date? If not, I'd make sure you are running the most recent version. Another thing you could try is to use a different browser (e.g. Microsoft Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, Safari).
