After checking with IT it looks as though you can no longer access your network files through Outlook.

But there is a way that you can get read and write access from home !

Your post suggests you might be using email through your mobile device. Please check the settings your device is using for your Newman email account. Specifically the setting its using in the server field. If its currently set to webmail.newman.ac.uk, change it to newmail.newman.ac.uk and try again.
Your device should have updated itself already, but it didn't manually updating the server address should resolve your issue.
