Hi I have a PowerPoint presentation to do but I do not have PowerPoint on my iMac. I have looked at downloading PowerPoint but it will cost £109. is there any other way around getting it? has anyone used keynotes instead of PowerPoint as this may be an option my mac is running osX.

Thankyou sam

Hi

You can download Open Office for mac for free - that includes powerpoint.

Jenny's answer is spot on, the presentation application in Open office is called Impress and is excellent.

Although tutors might use the word 'powerpoint' they really mean any presentation software, or rather any software that will allow you to make a presentation. (You can make perfectly good presentations in word processing applications.)

I am not a Mac user but I thought iMacs came with Keynote installed.  This is the Apple equivalent of Microsoft's Powerpoint.  I'd have a look for that on your computer.
