I am on placement at the moment and I am trying to post all my evidence on mahara however it always freezes whenever I want to download anything, it does not let me upload any files on some of my portfolio pages. As I need to continually upload my files on mahara however it is frustrating as I do not have time to keep playing about on it. Do you know why I cannot upload anything from my personal files?
Is anyone else having the same problem?

Sorry to hear you are having problems with Mahara. I have just logged into your area and I have uploaded a file with no problem. Could you describe what is happening in more detail for me so we can get to the bottom of the problem. How big are your files? Are you seeing any error messages? What happens when you click upload?
I can see that you have uploaded 3 images, however these are nearly 4mb each which is way too big for such small images. This is something you should be aware of as you do not have unlimited space in your Mahara storage. You can use websites such as this http://www.imageoptimizer.net/Pages/Home.aspx to optimise your images before you upload them to Mahara.

Further to Anna's reply, I'm also interested that you have problems downloading. Do you have problems uploading and downloading to other sites? (e.g. uploading images to Facebook? Downloading music files?). My guess is that this has nothing to do with Mahara.
As a test, can you go to this special Moodle page and see if you can upload and download and then report back?
