Students aren't receiving any messages that the tutor is posting into the news forum, why?

Hi Pat
To ensure students receive emails from the News Forum you will need to ensure the settings show 'Forced Subscription' and that the forum is unhidden.
To do this;
Go to ‘edit settings’ and scroll to the news forum and click the small spanner icon next to it. This will then bring up the settings. Please ensure it says ‘forced subscription’ and also that the forum is set to 'show'. Another way to unhide/show the forum is to click 'edit settings', click the 'eye' icon and ensure that it is open.

The only other reason I can think of is that the student's mailbox is full.
