Level 5

Drawing on the theoretical perspectives you developed at level 4, this module will identify and analyse social issues associated historically and currently with young people. It will emphasise the importance of being aware of these issues and the ways that young people are represented in relation to them through the media, the political system and the community. You will each present a seminar paper to fellow students which will facilitate discussion and enable the group to examine youth and community work interventions and professional strategies to your chosen social issue.
